Serene Industries Presents a Brutalist-Inspired Mechanical Keyboard

As a seasoned professional with fingers that dance over keyboards like a ballet dancer pirouetting on stage, I can’t help but be captivated by the Serene Industries’ Icebreaker keyboard. This isn’t just a keyboard; it’s a masterpiece of design and craftsmanship, born from the mind of someone who truly understands the needs of a dedicated typist.

At Serene Industries, the Icebreaker model is carefully designed as a high-quality metal keyboard, sculpted from a single piece of aluminum. This design combines the rugged style of Brutalism with exceptional typing precision.

After more than a year of careful planning and skilled construction, the Icebreaker has been created. This keyboard, measuring approximately 450mm x 44mm x 24 mm, showcases a dual shock absorption mechanism and houses a powerful 4,000 mAh battery. Additionally, it features 1/4-20” thread holes for attaching professional accessories like Picatinny rails, and can even be mounted using an axe handle.

Options for connectivity include Bluetooth and USB Type C, providing flexibility and dependable operation. The circuit board design includes a 65% layout, complete with an EC11 Rotary Encoder, Hotswap Switch Sockets, and individual RGB illumination. This setup is controlled by the Via Configurator and Serene Industries Configurator.

Available configurations include Hotswap and Hall Effect, with a wireless PCB option to be introduced shortly after as an add-on. The Icebreaker promises to be a premium typing experience, combining innovative features with robust construction.

The Icebreaker Keyboard, priced at $1,600 USD, comes in two stylish color choices: clear aluminum and black anodized. You can place your pre-orders until January 28, 2025. For further details, visit the official webstore of Serene Industries.
