As a gamer who’s been following K-pop trends for quite some time now, I must admit, it’s fascinating to see how Mingyu from Seventeen is making waves in the fashion world. From being a Dior ambassador to this latest Calvin Klein campaign, his style evolution is nothing short of impressive!
Mingyu’s year of fashion continues with a new Calvin Klein campaign.
27-year-old K-pop rapper Mingyu, a part of the popular group Seventeen, is the centerpiece of the latest Calvin Klein Fall 2024 marketing effort. On Friday, the legendary fashion brand unveiled the campaign, filling social media with images and clips showcasing Mingyu in Calvin Klein denim clothing.
The freshly launched initiative aims at showcasing the unique flair of the artist, as stated in an announcement, and giving a glimpse of his lively and entertaining character.
As a dedicated admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement over the latest campaign images showcasing Mingyu in an array of captivating denim ensembles. This time around, he’s unveiling fresh denim silhouettes and washes for the brand, perfectly complemented by timeless logo tees, double-denim layers with varying washes, and sleek lightweight jackets. It’s a testament to the brand’s commitment to innovation while staying true to its classic roots!
The popular K-pop artist showcased multiple denim outfits, prominently featuring ensembles centered around the brand’s iconic ’90s straight jeans. These looks were varied, with some pairing the jeans with the brand’s well-known trucker jacket and cotton trunks, others opting for a loose-fitting logo crookneck t-shirt, and yet another featuring a logo t-shirt worn beneath a bomber jacket.
The Calvin Klein campaign marks another significant step for the K-pop sensation, Mingyu, in his expanding involvement with high-end fashion and cosmetics. Over the past year, he has been making waves in the luxury fashion and beauty sphere. Last week, it was revealed that Mingyu is now the newest Dior ambassador, with the brand praising him as a “stylish international figure” and the “ideal representation of Dior’s aesthetic.” Additionally, he recently appeared in an L’Occitane advertisement in Asia.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Seventeen, the remarkable 13-member K-pop band under Hybe sub-label Pledis Entertainment, is all set for a U.S. tour this fall. Unfortunately, members Jeonghan and Jun won’t be joining us due to their mandatory military service and acting commitments in China respectively. The tour, titled “Seventeen [Right Here] World Tour,” will take us to iconic venues such as BMO Stadium in Los Angeles and the Oakland Arena in the Bay Area. This exciting journey coincides with the release of a new EP by the group, anticipated in October.
