Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Mannat to undergo Rs 25 crore expansion? Here’s what’s being added

As a long-time admirer of Shah Rukh Khan and his illustrious career, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and awe as I read about his plans to expand his iconic home, Mannat. Growing up in Mumbai myself, I’ve often dreamt of catching a glimpse of the superstar from afar, just like countless others who flock to his residence daily.

Shah Rukh Khan’s house, known as Mannat, is among the most well-known spots in Mumbai. Frequently, you can find large groups of fans outside the residence hoping to catch a glimpse of the renowned Bollywood actor. Recently, it has been disclosed that SRK and his wife Gauri Khan are contemplating an expansion of their property by adding two new floors at a cost of approximately Rs 25 crore.

As per a recent report by Times Now, Gauri Khan submitted an application to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in November 2024, seeking approval to construct two additional floors onto her existing building. It is said that the MCZMA reviewed this application during their latest meeting, which took place on December 10 and 11, 2024.

1914 saw the construction of Mannat, a historic property. At present, it covers an area of about 2091.38 square meters and features a six-story contemporary structure. If the proposed extension to the seventh and eighth floors is given the green light, it’s estimated to cost around Rs 25 crore.

Currently, Shah Rukh Khan eagerly anticipates commencing filming on his upcoming project in the new year. This action-thriller will see him act under the direction of Sujoy Ghosh and be produced by Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan. Remarkably, SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan, will make her screen debut alongside him in this film. Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma are also part of the impressive cast lineup for this upcoming project.

According to a special announcement from TopMob, it appears that the initial filming for the movie “King” will commence towards the end of January 20XX, with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. The plan is to film at previously undiscovered locations within Warsaw, followed by moving the production to various other European cities.

According to the announcement, the cast led by King’s team, including actor Abhishek Bachchan, will film at various uncharted European locations starting from January 2025. Afterwards, they plan to return for additional shoots in India. The producers aim to release the movie on Eid 2026.

Shah Rukh Khan is set to provide his voiceover for the Hindi adaptation of “The Lion King,” titled “Mufasa: The Lion King,” hitting theaters on December 20, 2024.
