As a lifelong admirer of Shah Rukh Khan‘s talent and charisma, I must say that this latest turn of events surrounding him is indeed intriguing. It seems that even a simple dialogue from one of his films can spark a heated debate, as we’ve seen with the lawyer from Chhattisgarh who took offense to the deer hunting reference in Anjaam.
The probe into the death threats against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has resurfaced an old complaint involving the actor. During the investigation, it was discovered that the lawyer, whose stolen phone was used to make the threat, is currently under examination. He has now revealed that he previously voiced objections to Khan’s dialogue referencing deer hunting in his 1994 film Anjaam.
It has been reported by PTI that a lawyer from Chhattisgarh is being questioned by Mumbai Police following claims that a phone, which was reported as stolen, was apparently used to make death threats towards the actor Jawan and demand an extortion sum of 50 lakh rupees.
As reported by PTI, the individual admitted that he earlier filed a complaint with the Mumbai police regarding a comment made by Shah Rukh about deer hunting in one of his movies.
It’s said that he clarified his feelings, being born in Rajasthan and having connections to the Bishnoi community, who view the preservation of deer as a sacred obligation, he found the statement disrespectful.
He declared that it’s inappropriate for someone who identifies as Muslim to make such comments about deer. Furthermore, he suggested that the recent call he received might have been intentionally arranged, implying his belief that it could be a part of a plot targeting him.
As a seasoned authority on urban lifestyles, let me share an intriguing piece of news: I recently learned that the local police in Bandra, Mumbai, have reported receiving a menacing phone call aimed at Shah Rukh Khan. The call was accompanied by an extortion attempt for a staggering sum of fifty million rupees.
The authorities at Bandra have filed charges against an individual who made a threatening call, citing sections related to extortion with death or serious harm threats (308(4)) and criminal intimidation (351(3)(4)) from the Indian Legal Code (BNS). It was discovered during the probe that this individual had previously criticized Khan’s dialogue in his 1994 movie, “Anjaam.
Preliminary findings indicated that the ominous call originated from a number associated with the name ‘Faizan’. Yet, when questioned by authorities, he disclosed that he had misplaced his phone about a week prior and had already reported the incident to the Khamardih police station.
In terms of his professional endeavors, you can expect to see Shah Rukh Khan team up with Sujoy Ghosh, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma in a new film titled King. As per TopMob’s report, the production for this movie is slated to start in January 2025.
