Shah Rukh Khan-led Jawan was ‘my worst experience ever’; Viraj Ghelani claims 'creators are cast for their clout only'

As an ardent fan who has followed Shah Rukh Khan’s illustrious career since his early days, I must admit that hearing about Viraj Ghelani’s less-than-favorable experience on the set of Jawan was quite a shock. While I’ve always admired the professionalism and camaraderie that seem to permeate Bollywood sets, it seems that this time around, things didn’t go as smoothly for our content creator friend.

In Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Jawan,” directed by Atlee, various artists made special appearances, expanding the film’s audience base. Among these cameos was a content creator named Viraj Ghelani who had a small role in the action-packed movie. Initially, he spoke highly of the production team when the movie was launched, but recently he has criticized them, labeling the shooting process as his “worst experience ever.

On The Having Said That Show podcast, Viraj expressed his feelings by saying, “Keep quiet. What a mess! Why did I go through with it? Those who saw the movie I was working on were incredibly kind. But it was my most dreadful experience yet.” He went on to explain that when big stars like Sanjay Dutt and Shah Rukh Khan are present, less prominent individuals may not receive as much attention.

In this situation, Ghelani described the work environment as “just stand here and do as told.” This was during a scene where he was required to handle a gun that was provided by the prop team. When the camera started filming, however, no gun was given to him, and the cameraman exclaimed, “That’s fucked up!” Viraj chimed in, explaining, “I made an appearance but I’m barely noticeable, just a faint figure. I did deliver my lines correctly.

The filmmaker disclosed that he filmed for 15 days in Madh Island under the intense May sun, but it was a shot taken within the initial half-hour on the opening day that ultimately made the final edit. Viraj, who boasts over 1.2 million followers on Instagram, expressed his opinion that creators are only valued based on their influence when he said, “It seems like fame is all that matters to them.

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the film Jawan also featured notable actors like Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, and several others in significant roles.
