At the India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit 2024, Chetan Bhagat shared a memory of taking his elderly mother to the set of Om Shanti Om. In those early days, as he looked back, Chetan Bhagat acknowledged that he wasn’t well-known yet.

Once the shooting concluded, Shah Rukh Khan noticed my mother’s age, acted considerately by fetching a chair for her without anyone on set thinking about it first. Author of 2 States, Chetan, added that although all of them are talented actors, Shah Rukh Khan stands out as a “remarkable individual” too.

Chetan Bhagat, who hasn’t teamed up with Shah Rukh Khan in a project yet, discussed his encounter with the famous actor at his home, Mannat, for some business. Chetan recollected that while he has been to other actors’ homes where he has made films, Shah Rukh is the exceptional star who personally came out of his house to see him off when he left in his car. The author added that Shah Rukh Khan displays admirable “politeness”.
