Sky will distribute the new movie in cinemas and on Sky Cinema in the UK. The famous animation studio Aardman (known for Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run) has joined forces with StudioCanal, a division of Canal+, to release the movie internationally, except in the UK. This is their fourth project together, following Shaun the Sheep Movie, A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmaggedon, and Early Man.

StudioCanal will launch worldwide sales at Cannes.

Shaun the Sheep and his fellow residents at Mossy Bottom Farm eagerly anticipate Halloween, but their excitement is spoiled when Farmer, known for his clumsiness, wreaks havoc on their cherished pumpkin patch! When Shaun takes it upon himself to act as a mad scientist to resolve the issue, things quickly go awry… As The Farmer disappears and a wild creature runs rampant through Mossingham’s woods, the stage is set for an exhilarating family adventure filled with monstrous fun.

The story “Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom” is penned by Mark Burton, author of works such as “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl”, “Paddington in Peru”, and “Shaun the Sheep Movie”. Additionally, it’s written by Giles Pilbrow, who has contributed to projects like “Horrible Histories” and “Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas”. This upcoming film will be helmed by Steve Cox, director of “Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas”, as well as Matthew Walker, known for his work on “Lloyd of the Flies”.

In the film “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” Richard Beek takes on the role of the producer. Meanwhile, Nick Park, Peter Lord, Carla Shelley, and Cox are credited as executive producers within the studio.

Shaun the Sheep stands out as one of Aardman Animation’s most successful creations, airing in over 170 countries across the globe on television. The upcoming seventh season is set to premiere later this year, as confirmed by the company.

Shaun the Sheep is a globally adored figure, cherished by audiences of every age. In our upcoming animated film, we’re offering a fun-filled, slightly spooky Halloween journey, as described by Sarah Cox, our creative director at Aardman. Prepare for pumpkins getting smashed, some offbeat science experiments, and a loose, hairy monster causing chaos in Mossy Bottom – all presented with the sheep’s signature delightful humor.

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled beyond words to be part of the team working on “Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom” during its development and pre-production stages!

In their statement, they expressed: ‘We’ve been incredibly proud to create Shaun the Sheep and his flock into a must-see cinematic experience for audiences worldwide, and our third film in the series is no exception. This time around, we’ve got an intriguing seasonal twist with Halloween as our theme, offering excitement, suspense, surprises, a dash of science, and both familiar and new characters. We can hardly wait to share more details of this eagerly anticipated family delight in the upcoming months.’

The upcoming Aardman animation movie builds upon the studio’s recent triumph with “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” a production that surpassed viewing records during the holiday season, making it the most-watched animated film on British television since 2002 when contemporary viewing statistics started being kept. Notably, this movie also received two BAFTA Film Awards.
