In 2024, Shogun left an unforgettable mark at the Emmy Awards, becoming the single-season television program with the most wins in Emmy history, taking home a total of 18 awards out of 24 nominations. Additionally, Anna Sawai made history as the first actress of Asian descent to win Lead Actress in a Drama category. During her heartfelt acceptance speech, Sawai was visibly emotional.
