Siddhant Chaturvedi on considering himself in Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao's league; 'I am somewhere there already'

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I have been captivated by Siddhant Chaturvedi’s meteoric rise to fame. His journey from an unknown actor to sharing the screen with stars like Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy is nothing short of inspiring. The young talent’s recent role in Yudhra, although not a blockbuster, showcased his versatility as an artist, earning him critical acclaim.

Recently, Siddhant Chaturvedi has drawn notice for his part in Ravi Udyawar’s action movie titled Yudhra. Although the film didn’t reach blockbuster heights, his acting performance earned substantial praise. When asked about his position compared to actors like Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Rajkummar Rao, Siddhant showed self-assurance, remarking, “I believe I’m already at that level, which is why I’m given the opportunity to work on the projects I am currently involved in.

In an interview with India Today, Siddhant Chaturvedi discussed whether he considers himself on par with his contemporaries like Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, and Sunny Kaushal. He expressed a desire to join the ranks of reputable actors, feeling that he’s already on the right track based on the roles he’s currently working on. However, he recognizes there is still a path ahead as he strives to become one of the top three go-to actors for filmmakers.

Apart from discussing his goals, he shared his plans for the future, indicating that in about five years, he aims to be the preferred pick among directors. Put simply, he expressed, “Perhaps, in five years’ time, I want to be the first preference of all directors.” He underscored the significance of remaining authentic and avoiding excessive publicity merely to stay prominent.

Siddhant, who made a name for himself in films like Gehraiyaan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, rose to fame by playing a role alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy. In his upcoming project, Dhadak 2, he’ll be working with Triptii Dimri for the first time on screen.

This upcoming movie functions as a spiritual successor to Dhadak, featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. The team behind its production includes Karan Johar, Umesh KR Bansal, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, and Somen Mishra. Shazia Iqbal is the director of Dhadak 2. The movie will hit theaters on November 22, 2024, under the production houses Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures.

In other words, “Yudhra” is a movie written by Shridhar Raghavan, with dialogues penned by Farhan Akhtar and Akshat Ghildial. It was produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. This film premiered in theaters on September 20, 2024, and features Malavika Mohanan, Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, and Ram Kapoor playing substantial roles.
