The renowned Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moosewala, one of the most impactful artists ever, tragically lost his life at just 28 years old in Mansa, Punjab, in the year 2022. Three years following his untimely passing, a documentary about the late artist has been made available on YouTube amidst a legal dispute regarding its broadcast. Furthermore, three new songs have been released as a tribute to him.

On Wednesday, the BBC World Service shared a two-part documentary about Sidhu Moosewala on YouTube, timed with the anniversary of the late Punjabi singer’s birth. The documentary delves into his early life, his meteoric rise to fame, contentious incidents in his career, and his tragic death. Prior to its planned screening in Mumbai later today, there has been a stir over its release.

According to reports, Balkaur Singh Sidhu, father of the late Sidhu Moosewala, has submitted a request in a Mansa, Punjab court, aiming to halt the broadcast.
