Sikandar: Iulia Vantur REACTS to Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s film underperforming: ‘It was leaked…’

The movie starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna titled Sikandar was unveiled in cinemas on Eid amidst high expectations. However, contrary to the general assumption, the film has been struggling at the box office. Iulia Vantur recently commented on this situation and also posted about Salman Khan’s response to the remade version of her song, Lag Ja Gale, in the movie.

During a recent chat with Mid-day, Iulia Vantur was inquired if it was disappointing to observe Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s Sikandar underperform at the box office. In response to this, she expressed her thoughts by saying, “I believe the film did exceptionally well given that it was leaked before its release. What I observed as well is that his loyal audience were present to support him.

Apart from discussing this, she also shared details about her well-known song “Lag Ja Gale” from the movie. She disclosed that not too long ago, producer Sajid Nadiadwala heard her sing Lata Mangeshkar’s famous tune. After hearing her, the producer had made a promise that one day she would be singing it for a film.

At that point in time, Julia hadn’t given it much thought, but just prior to Sikandar’s trailer release, she found herself singing the song in the studio, fulfilling a commitment made by Nadiadwala.

She confided that she had been anxious about his reaction. If Salman noticed any mistakes in my pronunciation, he wouldn’t let me go until I corrected it. So, the fact that he appreciated it meant a lot to me.

It’s worth mentioning that Vantur has provided her voice for several of Khan’s films before, such as Race 3 and Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. However, she had a blend of emotions while recording a song for him. She expressed, “There’s the pressure to excel because you want the other person to thrive.

The vocalist underscored that it’s not desirable to ruin this special experience for others. She labeled it as a wonderful sensation, highlighting her preference for collaborating with individuals she cares for and admires. She conveyed her appreciation for being involved in the “remarkable tradition” she declared Khan is passing on to his fans.

According to TopMob’s box office analysis, Sikandar is gradually approaching the Rs 100 crore league, but it may end up as Salman Khan’s lowest-grossing film. The movie was helmed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
