How To Solve Jukebox Puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake
When first interacting with the jukebox, it will eject a broken vinyl record.
The jukebox houses a spinning mechanism (rotor), an arm that moves (lever), and a place for records (record tray). In order to advance, you must obtain specific items initially. Arranging the machine now will prove beneficial later on by saving time.
- Connect the rotor to the record tray.
- Slide the record tray arm backward.
- Spin the rotor, press the lever down, and turn the rotor a few extra times.
After this, your task is to locate the essential items to revive the jukebox. You’ll require the “Jukebox Activation Button”, a “Damaged Record” (along with some “Adhesive” to mend it), and the “Neely’s Bar Coin”. Each item can be found in distinct locations around East South Vale.
How To Find the Jukebox Button
The first place to check out is the Saul Street Apartments, located south of Neely’s Bar. Once inside, head to the first floor and move a wardrobe blocking a doorway.
Climbing the stairs will grant you access to Apartment 5. Once inside, use the key to open it up. Within the apartment, there’s a hidden passageway – a hole in the wall – that leads to the adjoining room.
Sneak through unnoticed gaps in the walls, persist in your journey, and ultimately escape via a window. Utilize the emergency exit stairs to ascend to the highest level, where you’ll discover a restroom with a hole in the partition.
As you engage with the opening, James will initially pause, then carefully extract what is needed – the Jukebox Control. Later on, he’ll use this control to manage the music player.
How To Find Half of the Broken Vinyl Record and Create the Glued-Up Vinyl Record
At the upcoming location is the North Side Neely Street Groovy Music Store. Upon entering, you’ll notice a couple of Strolling Statues inside. Once the area is safe, break the backroom’s glass window found within the shop.
On the table, you’ll notice the second segment of a broken vinyl record along with a tube of vinyl adhesive. In your backpack, mix these two parts by using the adhesive and then merge them to produce a whole vinyl record that’s been glued together. This new item will be referred to as the “Reunited Vinyl Record.
How To Find the Neely’s Bar Coin and Activate the Jukebox
The missing piece, Neely’s Bar Coin, can be found secretly stashed within the Texan Cafe on Katz Street. Enter the cafe and navigate towards the cash register area.
Once you’ve used the terminal and unlocked it with the key, you can collect your prize – the coin. Be cautious, as a foe could appear immediately upon you grabbing the coin, so make sure you’re armed and prepared with any weapons you’ve picked up along the way.
Once you’ve collected everything needed, make your way back to Neely’s Bar. Follow these instructions to unravel the mystery and get the jukebox working:
- Put the Glued Up Vinyl Record in the record tray.
- Slide the Jukebox Button into its slot on the left side of the machine.
- Insert the Neely’s Bar Coin into the coin slot on the right side of the jukebox.
- Press the C-2 buttons on the jukebox to start playing the record.
The jukebox puzzle solution is the same in Standard and Hard modes.
After going through this sequence, there’ll be a short video clip playing, where James hears a tune from the jukebox.
Following a brief pause, the device may experience an issue, however, it will dispense the Neely’s Bar Key as a prize instead.
With this key, you can open a hidden door leading to the bar’s private area, enabling you to venture deeper and discover fresh surroundings.
