As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen countless adventures unfold across various genres, but the ‘A Leo Park Adventure’ series has managed to captivate me like no other. The latest installment, Silk, is a testament to the enduring charm of point-and-click puzzle games, albeit with a mobile twist.
In the sequel of ‘A Leo Park Adventure’, a freshly polished narrative unfolds, breathing new life into the traditional point-and-click genre – though on mobile devices, it’s more like point-and-tap! I recently had a sneak peek at the game Silk during Indie Dev Day, and even amidst the hubbub, its compelling storyline held my attention firmly.
Just as a note, you don’t need to play Sand – A Leo Park Adventure to enjoy Silk.
In this scenario, the character you play is Leo Parker, a professor at Oxford University in 1917. A missive arrives from your respected mentor, Sir Francis, requiring your aid, prompting you to depart from the university and embark on an immediate journey to China, with the intention of uncovering the mysteries unfolding there.
Upon my arrival, I was unable to locate my Mentor, leaving me to explore the house in search of clues to unravel this mystery and discern what transpired here. The captivating, hand-drawn illustrations in Silk are paired with a multitude of intricate puzzles that demand careful investigation of my surroundings and strategic decision-making to move forward.

In your journey ahead, you’ll be locating bookcases, assembling torn scraps of paper, shifting sand within bottles, and many other tasks. After leaving home, you will have to emulate Sir Francis and discover the ancient palace of the Ming Empress. This is a challenging puzzle game that may lead you astray with its tougher puzzles. However, the hint system is thoughtfully designed, providing guidance without outright revealing the solution.
Despite having limited time playing Silk, I discovered its puzzles to be enjoyable and difficult, similar to traditional point-and-click games. The narrative kept me intrigued as I pondered the mystery surrounding my Mentor’s predicament and the reasons for his perceived danger. It’s definitely worth a look for enthusiasts of this genre who are seeking something fresh to engage with.
