Singham Again star Arjun Kapoor admits going through ‘worst phase’ of his life when he signed film: ‘I was very isolated during my shoot’

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I must admit that Arjun Kapoor’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. His recent role in Singham Again is a testament to his resilience and dedication, proving yet again that he is an actor capable of delivering powerful performances.

After facing difficulties in achieving high box office earnings with previous movies, Arjun Kapoor made a powerful comeback with Singham Again. His portrayal of the villain has been highly praised by both fans and critics. However, it was during the time when he agreed to be part of Rohit Shetty’s film that Arjun confessed he was experiencing one of the lowest points in his life—both personally, professionally, emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter India, Arjun Kapoor shared that when Rohit Shetty suggested he focus on improving his appearance for the film, he viewed it as an opportunity for his own growth and self-improvement.

During the filming of Ishaqzaade, the debutant often found himself pondering whether the action was worthwhile or if it would actually succeed. He even had moments of self-doubt about his passion for cinema and questioned whether people would care about him again after seeing his work, or if they would dismiss him altogether.

He mentioned that unlike other actors, he felt exceptionally secluded on set. He carried some personal burdens, and he questioned whether audiences would connect with him in the role.

During a challenging period in his life, he found himself reflecting deeply and eventually came to understand that simplicity is key. At the time, he wouldn’t have envisioned himself working on the types of films he ended up doing. The actor admitted, “I was immersed in an introspective stage, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t want to work.” However, he also mentioned that the projects being offered weren’t particularly appealing to him, and as a result, he wasn’t overly enthusiastic about them.

Yesterday, the actor from Half Girlfriend wrote an emotional message, stating that Singham Again felt like his debut all over again, which he referred to as Arjun 2.0. He expressed optimism: “Let’s turn skeptics into believers! Every challenge and doubt served only to strengthen my resolve to work harder and return with renewed vigor.

In a subsequent note, the performer expressed gratitude by saying, “For all those who celebrated me back then and continue to do so today – thank you. Your encouragement is invaluable. And to those who had their doubts, thank you for challenging me to show my worth once more!
