Sisters Toni Howard and Wendy Howard Goldberg to Be Honored by Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai

The Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai’s annual spring luncheon is shaping up to be a family affair.

The guild has chosen two remarkable individuals, Toni Howard of CAA and her sister Wendy Howard Goldberg, as recipients for the Trailblazer Awards. This recognition will take place at a grand event held on May 1 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Entertainment Tonight‘s Nischelle Turner has been confirmed to host this celebration, and it will also include a conversation between the Howards, led by their friend for many years, Judge Judy Sheindlin, in a fireside chat setting.

At this event I’m attending, funds I help raise will be supporting two incredible causes: the Women’s Guild’s neurology project and their distinguished chair in pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children’s. Plus, renowned fashion designer Elyse Walker is hosting a pop-up shop with her brand, elysewalker, where 10% of the sales will go towards the guild. So far, the Women’s Guild has raised an impressive $70 million for Cedars-Sinai!

Howard is prominently recognized as one of the top talent agents in Hollywood, and she’s currently employed at CAA. Her impressive clientele includes stars such as Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, James Spader, Edie Falco, Michael Sheen, Holly Hunter, Laura Linney, Christopher Walken, Diane Lane, Goldie Hawn, Tim Robbins, Catherine O’Hara, Nathan Lane, and Billie Lourd, among others. Before joining CAA following the acquisition of ICM Partners, Howard served as a founding partner at that firm, where she managed the motion picture talent department for a decade. Prior to this role, she spent seven years working as an agent at William Morris. She boasts numerous accolades on her resume, including being featured on The Hollywood Reporter’s Power 100 Women in Entertainment list more than ten times.

Howard expressed his gratitude in a statement for being recognized by the exceptional Women’s Guild, alongside his sister Wendy Howard Goldberg. For four decades, she has been an engaged member of this organization. There isn’t a day that goes by without me seeking her medical advice regarding one of my health concerns!

Howard Goldberg has been an active member of the guild for over four decades, dedicating much of her time to the organization through volunteering. She’s known for her roles as a philanthropist, author (specifically, the books “Marry Me”, “Hollywood Moms”, and co-writing “The Blue Bloods Cookbook” with Bridget Moynahan), and as a creative collaborator on certain projects alongside her late husband, Leonard Goldberg. The esteemed network executive and producer, who was responsible for bringing us iconic shows like “Charlie’s Angels”, “Broadcast News”, “Brian’s Song”, and “The Simpsons”, passed away at the age of 85 in 2019.

Howard Goldberg formerly holds the title of president emeritus at Cal Arts’ California State Summer School Arts Foundation and is deeply involved in a personal initiative within UCLA’s migraine program, which she financed back in 2015. Together with her spouse, they were bestowed the first-ever Hollywood Icon Award by Cedars-Sinai in 2012.

She shared that for more than four decades, she’s been a dedicated volunteer at Cedars Sinai Hospital’s Women’s Guild, often prompting questions about her commitment. Her primary motivation, she said, is her deep admiration and dedication to the exceptional doctors at the hospital. She aspires to make a positive impact on both patients and staff, recognizing that providing the necessary support and resources for these doctors is key. The doctors of Cedars Sinai Hospital are some of the best in the country, and their work significantly contributes to our community. She expressed joy in also receiving this recognition alongside her renowned sister Toni, a revered figure in the entertainment industry, admired by many for her wit, intelligence, and charm.
