Starting from mid-2024, ASICS reintroduced the GEL-KAYANO 20, a stability-centric running shoe initially launched in 2013, as a lifestyle option. Since then, it’s become quite popular, serving as the main focus for partnerships with Bodega, HAL Studios, and UNAFFECTED (with Kendrick Lamar sporting it at Super Bowl LIX’s media day). It has also undergone creative transformations from designers like Kiko Kostadinov and been released in a variety of eye-catching colors. This month, the lineup of these colors is being expanded with the release of a “Cream/Deep Marine” style.
The color scheme “Cream/Deep Marine” derives its name from the soft hues on its upper resembling a lighter shade of sky, and the strong marine patterns with Tiger Stripe details below. The top half showcases a variety of deep, flat, and metallic blues, accentuated by subtle pink and powder blue highlights. In contrast, the midsole features a dual-density foam in red, complemented by red GEL cushioning. The design is completed with blue outsoles and midfoot stability shanks.
