Sky Force” is a film filled with patriotic sentiment, taking place between 1965 and 1988. The characters of Akshay Kumar as Squadron Leader K.O Ahuja and Veer Phariya as his wingman, TK Vijaya, are modeled after two real-life heroes – Om Prakash Taneja, who received the Vir Chakra award, and Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, who was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra.

The story tells of Ahuja’s tale of bravery and determination following the rejection of his proposal for a preemptive attack when he discovers an imminent Pakistani assault, due to India’s commitment to peace. After an Indian airbase is attacked, Ahuja takes charge of a retaliatory strike against Pakistan’s Sarghoda base, famous for housing sophisticated US-made jets. In this operation, Vijaya disobeys orders, disappears, and Ahuja sets out on a quest to locate him.
