Slowtide Releases Artist-Designed Towel Collection to Support LA Wildfire Relief

After the destructive Southern California wildfires, the Los Angeles-rooted brand Slowtide is showing their gratitude to their hometown by launching a special Artist Series Collection, proceeds from which will go towards recovery efforts.

Showcasing distinct creations by artists such as Cleon Peterson, Geoff McFetridge, Jen Stark, Thomas Campbell, Robbie Simon, Ty Williams, Anna Fusco, Dabs Myla, and Real Fun. Incredible! (Daren Thomas Magee) Some of these artists have unfortunately lost their homes or studios in a disaster, yet this collection embodies the spirit of Los Angeles – its plants, animals, people, and locations – mirroring the vibrancy that animates the region. From Campbell’s intricate multi-patterned tapestry to Peterson’s powerful mountain landscape, this exclusive series pays tribute to the city and the resilience of its communities in the face of adversity.

Our dearest Los Angeles holds a significant spot in ours; it’s where we have friends, family, and numerous gifted artists whom we’ve collaborated with for years. However, currently, the artistic community there is struggling. The road to healing may be long, but united, we can bring about change.

The money raised from the sale is meant to aid the LAFD Foundation, a charitable group that helps the Los Angeles Fire Department by offering funds for essential safety gear and necessary supplies for their vital operations.

These towels, priced at $50 USD each, come in dimensions of 30 x 60 inches and are crafted entirely from recycled waste materials. For further details about this collection, don’t miss out and visit Slowtide’s site before the presale concludes on January 28th, 11:59 PM PST.
