As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for hip-hop culture and all things bling, I’m absolutely hyped about Snoop Dogg‘s new jewelry line, Lovechild! Growing up, I’ve always admired Snoop’s ability to transcend music boundaries while staying true to his roots. Now, he’s stepping into the world of fashion and jewelry, and I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia mixed with anticipation.
Drop it like it’s hot: Snoop Dogg is releasing his own jewelry line called Lovechild.
Legendary rapper has teamed up with jewelry brand Metal Alchemist and gamma, a music and media company he’s associated with, to create this exclusive collection. The pre-sale for Lovechild starts on Wednesday and can be accessed through Snoop.Love., with the collection becoming available in Reeds 57 stores on Dec. 6, as well as online at reeds.com.
As a fervent admirer, let me share how Snoop Dogg named his collection – Lovechild. In a heartfelt confession to The Hollywood Reporter, he expressed that our world is saturated with anger, negativity, and division. Yet, he stands as a beacon of love. In the face of constant negative news, he’s stepping forward to amplify a powerful wave of love instead.
He adds: “Lovechild is a child created from love. I’m choosing to lead with love… for the child that still lives within me, for the child that lives within everyone. I wanted to have a product I could share with the world that speaks to every element of who I am at this point in my life.”
Metal Alchemist explains that Lovechild represents Snoop’s unique interpretation of jewelry, which focuses on self-empowerment, wellness, and iconic fashion, all grounded in traditional American craftsmanship.
Founder of Metal Alchemist, Carolyn Rafaelian, expresses: “Snoop, Larry [Jackson] and I built our careers on a common fundamental principle – empower others and revolutionize the status quo. Snoop’s strong conviction in love as a force that transforms, combined with Metal Alchemist’s commitment to creating clean, innovative precious metal pieces, led to the creation of Lovechild. Larry understood that bringing us together would ignite something extraordinary.
Last year, Jackson, previously an executive at Apple Music, introduced Gamma. Since then, Gamma and Snoop Dogg have sealed a long-term contract for the exclusive marketing and distribution of the Death Row Records catalog, as well as the release of two new albums by Snoop Dogg himself. Moreover, Gamma has formed a partnership with Usher and L.A. Reid, and collaborates with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group and Rebel Music/Open Shift Distribution, featuring emerging rapper Sexyy Red.
Creating a fresh line in any field is one thing, but doing it alongside a business titan and a prosperous entrepreneur brings a whole new dimension. Having Carolyn Rafaelian join us on our jewelry line creation journey is truly an honor – it’s not often you find a collaborator with the knowledge and in-house resources to deliver a fully integrated manufacturing experience from start to finish. Plus, having Snoop at the top of his game as my partner, this partnership could be an exciting surprise,” Jackson said to THR.
