Snoop Dogg To Carry Olympic Torch Ahead of Opening Ceremony

As a long-time gamer and music enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement about Snoop Dogg joining the 2024 Olympics! This iconic rapper is not only known for his incredible music career but now, he’s adding Olympic torchbearer to his impressive resume.

Snoop Dogg has been announced as the last torchbearer for the 2024 Olympics. He won’t be participating in any athletic events like hurdling or gymnastics, but he will have the honor of carrying the Olympic torch during the final leg before the opening ceremony.

According to Mathieu Hanotin, the mayor of Saint-Denis, on a specified date, Snoop will be the one to run with the torch through the town of Saint-Denis. This is an important leg of the torch-carrying journey as Saint-Denis is where you’ll find Stade de France and the new Olympic Aquatics Centre. With this leg, Snoop will complete the final stretch of the relay. The grand finale of this trek involves him reaching the Eiffel Tower, where he will then place the torch into the Olympic cauldron situated in the Tuileries Gardens.

Three notable figures – French actress Laetitia Casta, French rapper MC Solaar, and retired Ukrainian pole-vaulter Sergey Bubka – will join the last two runners in the penultimate leg of the torch relay. The identity of the final torch-bearer remains a secret.
