As a seasoned sneakerhead with roots deeply embedded in Miami’s vibrant culture, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of the SoleFly x Air Jordan 12 collaboration. Having had the privilege to witness the evolution of this partnership between the local icon and the esteemed Jordan Brand, it’s truly heartening to see their latest creation pay homage to our cherished Latino coffee culture.
As a die-hard sneakerhead, I can’t wait to get my hands on the SoleFly x Air Jordan 12 dropping on December 6! Dressed in a sleek White/Baroque Brown/Sail colorway (SKU: FZ5026-100), this beauty will set me back $225 USD. I’ll be scoping out SoleFly and Nike stores to cop these kicks when they hit the shelves!
For several years now, Miami’s unique sneaker shop, SoleFly, has built a strong bond with the Jordan Brand. They’ve collaborated on numerous shoe models in the past, such as the Air Jordan 8 “My House is Your House” from last year and this year’s exclusive Jordan Stadium 90s, which were produced in only 100 pairs.
Working in tandem, they’ve enlisted Jaime Jaquez Jr. from Miami Heat for their grand reveal of the collaborative Air Jordan 12 undertaking. This sneaker is rumored to celebrate Latino coffee culture, with a light cream cracked leather upper that hints at small ceramic cafecito cups common in family-owned Latino coffee shops, and a rich brown mudguard and sole reminiscent of the drink itself. The design is further accentuated by the SoleFly branding on the heel tab, maintaining a simple aesthetic.
Currently, we haven’t received any official word from Jordan Brand and SoleFly about the release process for their upcoming Air Jordan 12 collaboration. Keep an eye out as we’ll provide more details on these sneakers, set to be released on December 6 through SoleFly and Nike SNKRS at a starting price of $225 USD.
