Son of Sardar 2: Sanjay Mishra breaks silence on replacing Vijay Raaz in Ajay Devgn’s next

As a fervent fan of Bollywood drama and camaraderie, I can’t help but feel a tinge of sadness amidst the laughter that Son of Sardaar 2 is stirring up. The latest twist in this tale, the departure of Vijay Raaz from the film, has certainly added an unexpected spice to the mix.

The long-awaited sequel to Son of Sardaar, titled Son of Sardaar 2, has officially begun filming in the UK. Boasting a talented cast, the crew is gearing up to bring laughter to audiences with their humorous adventure. However, recent news about Vijay Raaz’s departure from the film has caused quite a stir. According to TopMob on August 16, Sanjay Mishra will be stepping in to take over the role previously held by Raaz.

In a heartfelt manner, the senior actor conveyed his joy of collaborating with Ajay Devgn, stating that they have a profound emotional connection. “When my sibling departed, he stood by me. We’ve been each other’s pillars in times of adversity. Whenever Ajay asks for a role in one of his films, it’s not just another job offer but a symbol of our friendship. A simple call from him is enough to make me commit, and I can always count on him being there just as I am for him. That pretty much sums up our relationship at this moment,” Sanjay Mishra articulated.

During an exclusive conversation with us, Kumar Mangat Pathak, who is co-producing Son of Sardaar 2 confirmed the news of Vijay’s removal from the film. He told us, “Yes, it’s true that we have removed Vijay Raaz from the film because of his behavior on the sets. He demanded bigger rooms, vanity van and also overcharged us for the spot boys. In fact, his spot boy was paid Rs.20,000 per night which is more than any big actor. The UK is an expensive place, and everyone got standard rooms during the shoot, but he demanded premium suites.”

In addition, Kumar stated, “When we attempted to clarify the financial situation to him, he seemed unwilling to comprehend and responded in an impolite manner. His recurring statement was, ‘You approached me, what work are you asking me to do?’ Despite our efforts to meet his requests, his behavior only worsened as his demands continued without end. He even requested two cars for a team of three to travel with. How could we manage that? When the EP denied his request, he became rude towards the EP (Executive Producer). Following all the conversations, we concluded it was best to remove him from the film production.”

Yet, Vijay had a different story to share. He claimed that his departure from the film was due to not greeting Ajay when they both arrived on set. The actor of Dream Girl 2 stated, “I arrived early at the location for rehearsals. I got into the van, and Ravi Kishan came to speak with me. Then, Ashish, the EP, and producer Kumar Mangat approached me, followed by director Vijay Arora. I exited the van and saw Ajay Devgn standing approximately 25 meters away. Since he was engrossed in something, I didn’t approach him to greet him, instead continuing my conversation with my friends nearby. About 25 minutes later, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, ‘You are being removed from the film, we are removing you.'”

Vijay explained further, “The only issue from my side is that I didn’t say hello to Mr. Ajay Devgn or interact with the crew. The only people I spoke to were these two groups. I was dismissed from the film just 30 minutes after arriving on set because I hadn’t greeted Ajay Devgn. These are influential individuals, and there is no talk of misconduct at all.”

The film “Son of Sardaar 2” is at present being filmed in London, boasting a stellar cast that includes Ravi Kishan, Mrunal Thakur, Chunkey Pandey, Vindu Dara Singh, Deepak Dobriyal, Mukul Dev, Ashwini Kalsekar, Kubbra Sait, and Sanjay Dutt.
