As a long-time Sonic fan who’s been running through loops since the 90s, I must say these latest updates have me buzzing faster than a Chaos Emerald! The Metro-city Zone in Sonic Forces, Shadow’s return in Sonic Dream Team with his Chaos Control powers, and the chance to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic in Sonic Dash – it’s a blue blur of excitement!

As Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is about to be unveiled, Sega has revealed a series of thrilling upgrades for various Sonic-themed mobile games. Ranging from Sonic Dream Team on Apple Arcade to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces, which are accessible through the App Store and Google Play, these improvements offer new content that is influenced by the upcoming film.

Coming in first is an update for Sonic Forces, which releases on December 12th, bringing with it a brand new Metro-city Zone. This addition features three challenging tracks for you to master while racing as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other familiar faces. It ties directly into the film so be sure to complete all the levels before you head to the theatre.

On December 18th, we’ll provide an update about the Sonic Dream Team, featuring Shadow as a playable character. Alongside new abilities, he can now be unlocked through Tails’ Challenges. With his Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers, you’ll be able to control time, freeze enemies and surroundings while completing your tasks.

Apart from introducing Shadow as a new character, we’ve also incorporated abilities like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost to broaden the strategies for all characters. Moreover, unique upgrades such as Double Chaos Shift specifically boost Shadow’s capabilities. Additionally, six Shadow-themed statues and music tracks have been included, along with a revamped tutorial level designed to aid novice players in grasping the game better.
