As a seasoned gamer with memories of playing Sonic the Hedgehog on my Sega Mega Drive, I can hardly contain my excitement for Sonic Rumble! Being a battle royale game developed by the legendary studio behind Angry Birds is an intriguing twist that has me eagerly awaiting its release.

Pre-registrations are now open for Sonic Rumble, the eagerly awaited battle royale platformer developed by Rovio (now under Sega ownership) and set to mark a significant expansion of the iconic blue hedgehog’s presence on mobile devices, including Android, iOS, and PC.

In a 32-player competition called “Sonic Rumble,” you’ll take on roles of popular characters from the iconic Sega series, such as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose, Rogue the Bat, Big the Cat, Metal Sonic, and even Ivo Robotnik (or Dr. Eggman if you prefer). He too is part of this race.

Now that pre-registration is open, we can reveal the incentives for reaching pre-registration milestones ahead of time. For instance, when we reach 200k registrations, each participant will receive a bounty of 5000 Rings. However, the exact number of registrations required beyond this point remains uncertain, but rest assured that the grand prize – an exclusive movie-themed Sonic character skin – is already secured.

As a passionate gamer, I can understand if some of you are disappointed with Rovio taking on the challenge of Sonic Rumble, given their past reputation tied mainly to Angry Birds. However, I believe this project presents an opportunity for them to demonstrate their true potential and showcase what they’re truly capable of beyond their iconic series.
