As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for movies and a keen interest in Hollywood happenings, I must say I’m quite intrigued by Sony’s upcoming release, “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,” starring the talented Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell. The film’s release date coinciding with Mother’s Day weekend adds an extra layer of anticipation.
Sony has dated Margot Robbie‘ first post-Barbie theatrical release, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.
Robbie and Colin Farrell are set to appear together in a film opening in cinemas on the Mother’s Day weekend of May 9, 2025.
As a devoted admirer, I’m excited to share that Kogonada, the visionary behind ‘After Yang’ and ‘Pachinko’, is at the helm for an upcoming film. The plot details were initially vague when the project was unveiled, but it’s rumored to revolve around two strangers whose paths unexpectedly cross. Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Hamish Linklater are among the star-studded cast. I can hardly wait to see this intriguing tale unfold!
30WEST and Imperative Entertainment, with the latter funding the production, are involved in making this movie. The producers for this project include Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, and Ryan Friedkin from Imperative Entertainment, along with Reiss and Youree Henley. Additionally, Kogonada, Ilene Feldman, and Ori Eisen of Original Films serve as executive producers.
The film opens a week after Marvel Studios’ The Thunderbolts*, which bows May 2.
Sony is promoting “A Grand Adventure for All: A Journey of Strength and Beauty” as a female-centric production. This announcement regarding dating was made a week following the impressive box office performance of “It Ends With Us“, which featured Blake Lively, where it surpassed expectations by earning over $100 million at the global box office on a budget of only $25 million.
Robbie recently appeared in cinemas with “Barbie,” a blockbuster movie that grossed $1.44 billion worldwide at the box office. Farrell is soon to debut his “The Batman” spinoff TV series titled “Penguin,” which premieres on HBO on September 19th.
