In Patch 7.0 of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, a formidable new boss has been introduced, offering players an exciting new challenge as they battle against the fearsome Trygon within the ninth Player vs Environment (PvE) Operation.
In the latest announcement, the focus is on introducing a new boss encounter, but it’s not just that. Saber Interactive is also working on enhancing the prestige progression system and fine-tuning classes to expand Space Marine 2’s post-release plan. This includes making gameplay adjustments and balancing changes to enhance both Player vs Environment (PvE) and Player vs Player (PvP) modes.
With respect to the Prestige Rank system designed for Player vs Environment (PvE), it enables players to restart their character’s class development at level 25 and acquire extra advantages and visual items. Achieving each Prestige Rank grants a 10% experience point bonus, fostering repeat play and sustained player involvement.
In other areas, for the first time, private Player versus Player (PvP) rooms are being introduced. These spaces allow players to customize their game settings according to their preferences, including setting time limits and adjusting damage levels. This is intended to offer more control over competitive play.
Changes have been made to weapons too, including some significant improvements and adjustments. For instance, the Inferno Pistol is now an alternative secondary weapon available for different character classes. Additionally, weapon abilities have been fine-tuned to improve their balance, consistency, and overall strategic complexity.
Beyond the complimentary material, the “Trygon Update” offers two additional downloadable content packs for Season Pass holders: Space Wolves Chapter Pack and Imperial Fists Champion Pack.
