As a huge fan of the original Spartacus series, I’m beyond excited to hear about this new spin-off: Spartacus: House of Ashur. The idea of exploring an alternate timeline where Ashur didn’t die is intriguing and a clever way to bring back a beloved character without disrupting the existing storyline. Nick Tarabay’s portrayal of Ashur was always one of the most captivating aspects of the show, so I can’t wait to see what he brings to this new series.

As a dedicated fan of the iconic Starz series “Spartacus,” I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about its continuation, but with a surprising twist. Unlike a revival or reboot, the new series titled “Spartacus: House of Ashu” is being produced in New Zealand, and it will explore an “alternate universe” take on the original story. The mastermind behind this innovative endeavor is none other than our beloved creator Steven S. DeKnight. He’s applying Marvel’s successful “What If?” formula to an original character, giving birth to a whole new series. Starz has recently unveiled the talented cast set to breathe life into this captivating world.

Based on Deadline’s report, Nick Tarabay is set to revive his character Ashur in the upcoming Spartacus limited series. Despite Ashur’s demise in the second season finale, this new installment will delve into an alternate storyline where Ashur survived. Consequently, the narrative won’t be bound by the original series’ events. Tarabay joins a fresh ensemble of actors for the ten-episode project, which marks the fifth addition to the Spartacus franchise.

Starz describes the upcoming series as offering a “history-twisting, sensual, exhilarating, rollercoaster ride.”
