SpongeBob’s Krabby Patty Is Coming to a Wendy’s Near You

As a long-time devotee of both the silver screen and the animated realm, I must say that this collaboration between Wendy’s and SpongeBob SquarePants is an absolute delight for my eyes and taste buds! Growing up with SpongeBob and his underwater pals, it feels like a dream come true to finally taste the legendary Krabby Patty.

At last, after much thought and planning about creating the ideal Krabby Patty, Wendy’s and SpongeBob SquarePants have finally joined forces to bring this idea to life. The iconic burger from the beloved animated series will be available at Wendy’s starting October 8 to honor SpongeBob’s 25th anniversary debut. The classic Nickelodeon show first aired on May 1, 1999, and it remains popular even today. This unique collaboration is only temporary, so for those eager to give it a try, they’ll need to act quickly before the offer ends.

Here at the restaurant, the star of the show is undeniably the Krabby Patty, but don’t forget about the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, which is part of the same deal. Wendy’s has coined it a “novelty” Frosty that boasts a blend of Pineapple Mango and Vanilla flavors. As for the Krabby Patty burgers, they are made just as they appear. According to Wendy’s, each patty is a quarter-pound of beef, layered with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. However, a Krabby Patty wouldn’t be complete without its secret ingredient. Unfortunately, Wendy’s hasn’t disclosed the sauce used on the burger, only hinting at it as a “mysterious Krabby Kollab sauce” tucked inside a toasted bun. The fries that come with the meals don’t seem to be part of this promotion’s special offerings.

Nickelodeon Celebrates 25 Years of SpongeBob

There has been much change and upheaval in the television industry as shows rise and fall, but SpongeBob SquarePants has demonstrated remarkable resilience. The show’s enduring popularity is difficult to overlook, even for those who don’t watch it, thanks in part to its ability to attract big-name actors like Keanu Reeves to star in movies. With 25 years on the air now under its belt, this is a significant achievement. Paramount might have collaborated with any brand to cash in on the Krabby Patty, but in a statement, their Chief Marketing Officer Dario Spina explained that Wendy’s was the ideal match due to its own strong connection to pop culture trends.

According to Spina, “‘The Krabby Patty Kollab'” is an innovative step in the ongoing celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants’ 25th anniversary, as it brings Bikini Bottom to reality more than ever before. Wendy’s understanding of popular culture and fan base makes this partnership ideal for Paramount, and we eagerly anticipate creating unforgettable and immersive experiences through unique content, engaging social media interactions, and recognizable impact.

If you’re a Californian, you can get a sneak peek at the Krabby Patty a day early by stopping by an immersive drive-thru in Panorama City on either October 7th or 8th. Starting from October 8th, this promotion expands nationwide and can be ordered via the Wendy’s app or by visiting any participating restaurants across the U.S., Canada, and Guam. This is the first time the authentic Krabby Patty will be served in restaurants, so while some fans might have encountered imitations before, this time it’s the genuine article!

Should you be following along with the series, fresh episodes of the beloved cartoon “SpongeBob SquarePants” will air starting October 10, featuring Season 14’s eleventh episode on Nickelodeon.
