Squad Busters' Transformers collaboration officially rolls out

  • Transformers are coming to Squad Busters as the first major collab in the game rolls out!
  • Optimus Prime and Elita-1 will be playable for a limited time
  • Meanwhile, certain characters are getting themed skins, while chests, modifiers and more get a makeover

As a longtime fan who has seen my fair share of gaming collaborations, I must say that the Transformers x Squad Busters collab is nothing short of exhilarating! Having grown up with the iconic Autobots and Decepticons, it’s quite surreal to see Optimus Prime and Elita-1 joining the ranks of my favorite characters in Squad Busters.

Initially, the debut of Squad Busters didn’t generate as much excitement as other Supercell releases might have. However, it’s important to note that Supercell doesn’t usually abandon projects once started. Now, the exciting news is that they’ve partnered with Hasbro’s legendary Transformers franchise for Squad Buster’s first significant collaboration!

In the world of Transformers, Optimus Prime and Elita-1 are set to appear for the first time in our game among the playable characters. Additionally, certain characters will receive unique themed costumes, while modifications, spells, and treasure chests will all undergo temporary style changes.

The partnership arrives perfectly for Hasbro’s Transformers Day festivities on the 17th and the release of the widely-awaited movie “Transformers One” on the 20th. It follows closely on the heels of Supercell’s first significant collaboration with renowned footballer Erling Haaland, who recently featured in their popular game Clash of Clans.

Something or other about Autobots and rolling out

Previously mentioned, Squad Busters had a moderately successful yet somewhat unspectacular debut according to Supercell’s benchmarks. However, viewed from other perspectives, it was an enormous success. Supercell appears to be leveraging this success by intensifying their collaborations, which have been scarce in their games given the widespread acclaim enjoyed by hits like Clash of Clans.

Hope into the Transformers collab in Squad Busters from September 16th to October 7th!
