Portrayed unforgettably by Ricardo Montalbán in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode “Space Seed” and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and later by Benedict Cumberbatch in Star Trek Into Darkness, this villain consistently posed a significant threat to the crew of the USS Enterprise led by Captain James T.
