The beloved movie from George Lucas’ Star Wars prequel trilogy is coming back to the big screen on its 20th anniversary, which falls on April 25, as part of a theatrical re-release.

As stated in the announcement, the movie will be screened exclusively in U.S. theaters and certain international locations for just one week. It’s also worth noting that this is its debut in the 4DX format. 4DX offers an immersive experience with advanced motion seats synchronized with over 21 effects, all carefully crafted to enhance the storyline of the film.

It was revealed by Lucasfilm the day following multiple reports, including from The Hollywood Reporter, that Kathleen Kennedy, their long-term president, was planning to retire and step down by the end of this year.

In “Revenge of the Sith,” Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Hayden Christensen star. The story unfolds years after the start of the Clone Wars, where Jedi Knights, leading a vast clone army, engage in a galaxy-wide conflict against the Separatists. However, when the malevolent Sith reveal an ancient plan to dominate the galaxy, the Republic disintegrates, giving birth to the oppressive Galactic Empire. Anakin Skywalker, once a Jedi hero, is lured by the dark side of the Force and transforms into Darth Vader, the Emperor’s new apprentice.

The movie’s depiction of a deteriorating democracy might spark fresh conversations, especially considering current political discourses (“Could it be that the democracy we believed in has vanished?” is a question posed by Portman’s character, Padme, in the film).

There’s no news about when tickets for “Revenge of the Sith” will be available. However, when they are, it would be wise to move quickly if you want to secure the best seats.
