Approximately two weeks have passed since the Season 1 finale of “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” was broadcasted on the 2025 TV schedule, and there’s been no news about whether the series will continue for another season. If “Skeleton Crew” Season 2 is to be included in the lineup of upcoming “Star Wars” TV productions, creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford have a fascinating concept ready for the next set of episodes. Given that Attin is no longer considered a mythical planet, they’re eager to delve into the broader implications of its inhabitants fully integrating with the galaxy far, far away.
Watts and Ford discussed a detailed plan during an interview with TVLine, with Watts stating, “We have a clear vision of what we want to present, and we’ve already decided on all the specifics.” Now that At Attin has been revealed and The Supervisor has been destroyed by Jude Law’s character Jod Na Nawood, its inhabitants must break free from the self-imposed seclusion that had governed their lives for countless generations. As Ford elaborated:
What makes it intriguing is that since Earth has been stripped of its nurturing environment, it’s now growing up like a self-conscious teenager.

How Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’s EPs Just Answered An Acolyte-Related Question I Had About Jod
As a passionate moviegoer, I can’t help but share my excitement about the recent insights from Ravi Cabot-Conyers, the talented actor behind Wim in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. During our chat, he revealed that the lightsaber moment in the season 1 finale was indeed pivotal and significant for his character, Wim. Stay tuned to catch this thrilling climax!
In the final episode of Season 1, Wim’s father Wendle and Fern’s mother Fara, dismantled the protective shield encircling At Attin. Meanwhile, their children were attempting to take the lightsaber away from Jod, who had found it in Tak Rennod’s vault on Lanupa. With the shield down, KB called for aid from Kh’ymm, who then relayed the coordinates of At Attin to the New Republic. Not long after, a fleet of X-Wings and B-Wings arrived to repel the pirate invasion, leaving Jod in disbelief as his plan to dominate the planet dissolved. Although the villains were vanquished, it’s soon to be revealed across the galaxy that At Attin is indeed a genuine location.
During an unexpected journey through the expansive Star Wars universe onboard the Onyx Cinder, Wim, Fern, KB, and Neel experienced quite a lot. Meanwhile, Jon Watts hinted that the parents of these characters are in for quite a surprise as they come to terms with the reality of life beyond At Attin, which he described as a significant system shock.
In the second season, there’s an intriguing twist as the roles reverse, with the parents finding themselves needing to mature more, much like a new perspective we delved into during our initial exploration.
Despite our uncertainty, it remains to be seen if the team behind “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” will get a chance to delve into these concepts for Disney+ subscribers. Recall that in 2024, “The Acolyte” was terminated only a month after its final episode, due to low ratings and overspending. Given the stronger viewership of “Skeleton Crew” and the positive reviews it has garnered, let’s hope this will be sufficient for a second season greenlight.
In April, we’ll see the return of Andor Season 2, followed by Ahsoka starting production around the same time. This means Star Wars enthusiasts have a lot of TV content from this franchise coming up in the short term. However, it would be great if more information about Skeleton Crew’s status could be shared earlier, allowing fans to know whether Jon Watts and Christopher Ford will indeed bring their Season 2 concepts to life.
