Stash’s Modernica Collection Is the Perfect Companion to His Forthcoming Nike Drop

As a longtime admirer of both Modernica‘s timeless design ethos and Stash’s vibrant graffiti artistry, this collaboration has truly struck a chord with me. The fusion of mid-century modern aesthetics and street culture is a delightful twist that speaks to my appreciation for the intersection of these seemingly disparate worlds.

Modernica, an iconic American furniture brand, has partnered with graffiti artist Stash to develop a series of furniture that aligns with his upcoming Nike collaboration. Prominently featuring Stash’s signature blue color scheme, this limited edition collection seamlessly blends Modernica’s mid-century design aesthetic with the creative world of Stash.

At the heart of their partnership, they’ve revamped Modernica’s Case Study® Storage Unit into a Shoe Bench, hinting at Stash’s upcoming Nike shoes release on December 13. To add more, they’ve also introduced a collaborative shoe-viewing mirror to complement this redesigned piece. The vibrant blue cushion and accent panels are a reflection of the colors used in the sneakers and Stash’s past designs.

1948 saw the creation of Modernica’s iconic fiberglass shell chairs, now adorned with a spray nozzle pattern from Stash, inspired by a 2022 mural he painted at the Los Angeles Modernica Factory. These chairs, available both with and without arms, showcase their distinctive fiberglass texture beneath Stash’s navy-toned nozzle design, which extends onto the backside as well.
