- Shortbread Games are back with a new upcoming release called Sticker Ride
- Evade all manner of lethal traps to slap down your adhesive
- Time your movement correctly to evade crossfire
Stickers: They can either be the most irritating items or, if you’re like me, a fun method to liven up some bare areas. However, isn’t it frustrating when power tools, airborne blades, and explosives seem intent on preventing you from applying your vibrant decals? Not for everyone, but Sticker Ride lets you experience that peculiar scenario.
In simpler terms, Sticker Ride involves navigating your sticker through a preset course filled with obstacles and dangers that could tear it apart. However, the challenge lies in the fact that while you can move forward quickly, moving backward is slow. This means you’ll need to be cautious and time your movements carefully to avoid getting caught in a dangerous crossfire as you try to dodge certain death.
This game by Shortbread Games isn’t quite the Shakespeare of gaming, but it shares similarities with their earlier title Packed!? and other indie games in its niche – it presents an interesting concept that appears to have been executed effectively. Sticker Ride is set to debut on February 6th for iOS devices.
Stick it
Currently, Sticker Ride is in its pre-launch phase, with the team at Shortbread Games providing a sneak peek through an early trailer and some images. This game belongs to the indie category of mobile releases, known for being compact yet delightful. Despite its brevity, I believe it’s worth checking out due to its uniqueness within this niche.
It seems we sometimes convey the idea that larger is always superior, but apps such as Shortbread are reminiscent of a period when creativity reigned supreme on mobile devices. Does this mean they’ll have a blockbuster success in the future? Not necessarily. However, do they need to achieve massive success? I wouldn’t insist on it; they still offer an intriguing puzzle worth exploring.
