Stone Island is planning a special event, showcasing their archive collection, at the upscale retailer Holt Renfrew in Montreal. This is to mark the Italian fashion brand’s 40-year journey of discovering distinctive materials.
Between October 17th and 27th, “Material Research ‘984 – ‘024” exhibit by Stone Island will display five historical pieces from as far back as 1984 alongside Fall 2024 designs, demonstrating the brand’s rich roots in inspiration. Known for its groundbreaking fabric technology, Stone Island’s innovative methods have played a significant role in shaping its broad fanbase within menswear. As reported by WWD, the exhibit will emphasize some of Stone Island’s advanced fabrics such as metallic, heat-responsive, and mirrored materials. Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into the world of Stone Island, while also having the chance to purchase the latest items available at Holt Renfrew.

During the exhibit, Stone Island has teamed up with La Rama Records to temporarily establish a vinyl record store. This shop will be operational throughout the duration of the event. Additionally, there will be DJ performances by local artists on October 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th evenings.
