Stranger Things’ David Harbour Teases a ‘Very Beautiful’ Final Episode

Stranger Things' David Harbour Teases a 'Very Beautiful' Final Episode

As a die-hard Stranger Things fan who’s been eagerly awaiting the final season since the credits rolled on Season 4, I can say that David Harbour’s recent revelations about the emotional table read of the last episode have me both excited and teary-eyed. It’s surreal to think about how these young actors, who were just kids when they started, are now adults shaving and directing movies.

The primary filming for the fifth and concluding season of the popular Netflix show “Stranger Things” is almost complete, and its lead actor, David Harbour, has shared that the young cast members are feeling quite emotional about it. Furthermore, he hinted that fans should anticipate a touching and emotional final episode. Throughout the series, Harbour has played Jim Hopper, who was apart from most of the cast in Season 4 due to being held captive in a Russian prison, but will reunite with everyone when Season 5 premieres next year.

During an interview with ComicBook.com, Gaten Matarazzo, also known as Harbor, discussed the unique feeling of reuniting with the group from Hawkins, Indiana for the last season of “Stranger Things”. He described it as a “thrilling journey” for everyone involved, considering how young they were when filming first began and now seeing them all grown up.

Returning to the original cast for this final season has been quite an extraordinary journey, as we’ve come such a long way since Season 1. It’s not the same show we started with, and that’s something extraordinary for us all. After all, these actors were just eleven or twelve when we began, and now they’re twenty, sporting facial hair, and no longer children. Finn Wolfhard, one of our cast members, recently directed a movie!

He went into more detail, sharing that they had just completed the final script reading for the last episode of Stranger Things, a scene he described as “extraordinarily moving.” This moment was particularly poignant, leading to many tears, a response that was understandable given the close-knit bond the cast has developed throughout the series.

We’ve just re-watched the final episode, and it was quite emotional – beautiful, even. Yet, there was a profound layer to it; this episode portrayed their childhood, where they were only 11 years old when they encountered that monster. I’ve rarely witnessed such intense weeping among young viewers in my experience.

David Harbor Hopes We Never Get to See That Table Read

Fans have long desired additional insights into the production process of hit series like “Stranger Things”, wanting to see how the intricate visual effects and other aspects are created. However, if Harbour has his preference, that last table read – a moment he acknowledges was recorded – will likely remain a private affair between the cast and crew, preserving its intimate nature.

As a passionate film enthusiast, I must share my profound experience with a recent production. It wasn’t about the cameras or capturing attention for publicists or Instagram influencers. Instead, there was an intimate, almost private feel to how they structured it, which made me hopeful that you might not witness such intimacy often. You see, what I felt was profound because this wasn’t just a group of actors; we were like family, bound together by nine years of shared history since our youth.

It’s hard not to sympathize with his viewpoint, considering the immense impact “Stranger Things” has had on our daily lives and the constant limelight the cast experiences. Seeing them share a special moment like this together seems fitting and somewhat therapeutic. In today’s world where everything tends to end up on social media, it’s refreshing that this exclusive set photo isn’t making its way online just yet.

The fifth season of the hit series “Stranger Things” is set to debut on Netflix in 2025, allowing fans to catch up or rewatch previous seasons anytime they want.
