Streaming Ratings: ‘The Madness’ Claims Top Overall Spot for Second Week in a Row

In the opening week of December, Netflix’s gripping conspiracy thriller titled “The Madness” maintained its leading position on the US streaming rankings.

Meanwhile, “Lioness” achieved a series high of 692 million viewing minutes in the week before its Dec. 8 season finale, ranking it third and fourth among original series for the week. Interestingly, even two weeks after its season ended, “Tulsa King” managed to hold onto the top 10 list with 385 million viewing minutes.

The popular shows “Landman” and “Lioness” are still attracting a lot of viewers on Paramount+. “Landman” has seen its highest number of views ever, with 773 million minutes watched. “Lioness” also had a record week before its finale, with 692 million viewing minutes. Even after its season ended, “Tulsa King” is still in the top 10 most-watched shows on the platform with 385 million minutes viewed.

The spy drama “Black Doves,” starring Keira Knightley, had the highest debut of the week on Netflix, amassing an impressive 899 million minutes of view time following its release on December 5th. In comparison, Netflix’s docuseries “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey?” dropped by 65% to 402 million minutes after premiering with a weeklier total of 1.15 billion minutes earlier. The holiday-themed movie “Our Little Secret” starring Lindsay Lohan topped the list of most-watched films that week, accumulating 603 million minutes.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings exclusively focus on viewing through television sets and do not account for minutes spent watching on computers or mobile devices. Moreover, these ratings only quantify audiences within the U.S., neglecting viewers from other countries.
