In early February, The Night Agent maintained its position as the most-watched streaming show in the U.S.
During the week of February 3rd to the 9th, the Netflix spy drama accumulated a staggering 1.52 billion minutes of viewership, retaining its position at the number one spot for the third consecutive week. Despite a 48% decrease from the previous week, ‘The Night Agent’ remained significantly ahead in terms of viewer time, outshining the second-ranked show, Netflix’s ‘Sweet Magnolias’, which garnered 1.07 billion minutes.
During the Super Bowl week, when viewership hit an all-time high on February 9th, it seemed like everyone was tuning in to their favorite sports event. However, when it came to streaming content overall, there was a slight dip among top shows. The combined viewing minutes for the top 10 titles in last week’s Nielsen rankings added up to 9.27 billion, which is a decrease of approximately 15% compared to the previous week (a drop from 10.87 billion minutes). As a dedicated gamer and streamer, I found myself spending less time watching these top shows this past week.
Last week, Netflix’s series “The Recruit,” which recently got canceled on March 5, accumulated 956 million minutes of viewership time. This represents a decrease of approximately 20% compared to the previous week when it premiered its second season. On the other hand, Apple TV+’s show “Severance” (582 million minutes) saw an increase from 557 million minutes in the prior week, demonstrating a strong continuation as its second season unfolds.
For the past week, NCIS ranked 6th in total viewing minutes across Hulu, Netflix, and Paramount+ with a whopping 834 million minutes watched. This is the show’s 201st appearance in Nielsen’s weekly streaming top 10, placing it 50 weeks ahead of the runner-up, Grey’s Anatomy. Interestingly, Hulu played a significant role among acquired series, as eight out of the top ten shows received some viewing time on this Disney-owned platform. Four of these shows – Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Rookie, and American Dad – are actually exclusive to Hulu.
Nielsen’s streaming rankings focus solely on viewing via TV screens and exclude time spent streaming on computers or mobile devices. These ratings specifically track U.S. viewers, not those from other countries. Here are the most popular streaming titles for the week of Feb. 3-9, 2025:
