Not long ago, Rajkummar reminisced about a past experience where he was replaced in a production following the photoshoot for the poster, and learned about it from reading a newspaper.
Recently, in an intriguing chat with Sushant Sinha, the charismatic Rajkummar Rao shared a glimpse into his journey, disclosing that he’s been let go from two film projects without naming specific titles. Reflecting on the first movie, he reminisced about a nearly sealed deal, a significant venture following Kai Po Che. With the contract in hand and multiple meetings with the director under my belt, I was eagerly awaiting the start of this promising project. However, I learned that my spot had been filled by another actor, leaving me feeling a bit crestfallen.
In relation to the second occurrence, Rajkummar stated, “Another instance occurred where the entire production took place, the look test was conducted, the poster shoot was done, and subsequently, I found myself in the newspaper as if I had a role in that film. This left me saying ‘Oh wow’.”
His Stree 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor shared that she had also been replaced twice.
Moving onto Street 2, the film finally made its way to cinemas following an extended period of anticipation among fans. Hordes of spectators flooded the theaters over Independence Day to enjoy the show.
In addition to Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana reappear in the sequel of the 2018 film “Stree.” Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatia make brief appearances in the movie.
The movie, titled “Stree 2,” is scripted by Niren Bhatt and steered by Amar Kaushik. It’s a production of Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande. This production has been awarded a U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The running time for “Stree 2” is exactly 2 hours, 29 minutes, and 29 seconds.
