As an ardent fan of Rajkummar Rao, witnessing his journey from humble beginnings to box office success is nothing short of inspiring. Born into a family grappling with financial hardships, Rajkummar’s story resonates deeply with me – not just as a fan, but as someone who understands the struggles of making ends meet.
Right now, Rajkummar Rao is enjoying the triumph of his horror-comedy film Stree 2, which is earning massive sums at the box office. However, during his childhood, he experienced financial hardships. He recently disclosed that they didn’t have much money while growing up, but they weren’t in a desperate state of hunger. Interestingly, for a period of two to three years, it was his teachers who paid for his school tuition.
During a recent chat, Rajkummar Rao disclosed details about his childhood and the financial hardships faced by his family. He revealed that he was part of a large family, having two other siblings, and spoke candidly about their modest beginnings, stating, “I didn’t have much wealth growing up.”
Rajkummar explained that they had been constantly struggling financially, but he clarified, “This doesn’t imply we were on the verge of starvation and dying.” Instead, he emphasized that they were merely managing to get by.
Rajkummar shared that his mother skillfully ensured they never felt the weight of need, consistently arranging for them whatever they desired. He often sought aid from family members when they required books or tutoring assistance, as mentioned by the actor from Stree 2.
For approximately two to three years, it was his teachers who covered Rajkummar’s school expenses. He mentioned that while his siblings were academic prodigies, he himself found success in extracurricular activities such as dance and martial arts. Rajkummar remembered the words of his teachers: “No, no. We can’t force them to leave school; their education is crucial.”
In 2024, Rajkummar Rao has been part of numerous film premieres. Among these are the biographical film titled Srikanth and the sports drama Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. His latest release is Stree 2, a sequel to the 2018 movie Stree. The ensemble cast for this production includes Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi.
As a devoted enthusiast, I’m eagerly preparing myself for the upcoming launch of the highly anticipated video titled “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala.” The captivating Triptii Dimri will be joining me in this exciting venture, and our big screen debut is set for October 11.
