Stree 2: Aparshakti Khurana praises Akshay Kumar's comic timing in cameo; 'Wo ek scene bhi karne aate hain to...'

As an ardent fan who has grown up watching the magical journey of Bollywood’s very own Khiladi Kumar, I can confidently say that Akshay Kumar is nothing short of a living legend. His versatility, energy, and commitment to his craft are unparalleled, making him stand out from the crowd.

Akshay Kumar is a multi-talented actor who’s been a significant part of the Hindi film industry for many years. Starting off as an action star, he later dabbled in comedy. Known as “Khiladi Kumar,” he’s frequently praised for his humorous roles in films such as Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and others. Recently, Aparshakti Khurana, who collaborated with Akshay in Stree 2, expressed that no one can rival his comic delivery in the cameo of the horror comedy. Aparshakti feels that even if Akshay appears only once in a film, he always gives it his all.

In my recent chat with Faridoon Shahryar, I, Aparshakti Khurana, couldn’t help but sing the praises of none other than the superstar himself, Akshay Kumar. His cameo in Stree 2 was absolutely hilarious, and let me tell you, no one comes close to his impeccable comic timing when it comes to delivering their lines.

Aparshakti Khurana shared stories about collaborating with Akshay Kumar on “Stree 2”. The actor from Stree 2 reminisced about spending approximately 20 days alongside the renowned star in the US. Akshay possesses an abundance of energy and self-discipline, and his remarkable journey in Bollywood has been a source of inspiration for Aparshakti.

The actor from Pati Patni Aur Woh went on to say that Akshay Kumar has managed to stay “current” and “healthy” throughout the years, noting that it’s no simple task. Impressed by Akshay, Aparshakti also expressed that there’s a lot one can pick up from him.

In the set, Aparshakti emphasized Akshay’s commitment, stating, “Whenever he arrives for a scene, he brings along the same enthusiasm as if he’s a vital piece of the entire movie. He always puts in so much heart.”

The thirty-six-year-old performer considers this characteristic as what sets Akshay apart from others. He thinks that it’s challenging to determine if actors similar to himself can sustain such a lengthy career in this field, given its demanding nature.

In a previous chat, Aparshakti Khurana expressed his thoughts on Shraddha Kapoor receiving accolades for Stree 2’s success during an interview with Zoom. He disclosed that there was a “game” being played in public relations, involving raising and lowering someone’s profile. He further stated that such PR strategies were inappropriate given the team was already rejoicing over their movie’s successful launch.

As a lifestyle expert, let me shed some light on an intriguing cinematic revelation: In the captivating film Stree, I found myself making an entry in the second act. My character is the compelling figure heading a unique hospital catering to mentally challenged individuals. At present, my enigmatic persona, belonging to the Sarkata lineage, goes by an as-yet unrevealed name.

In the follow-up to “Stree,” titled “Stree 2,” Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao take on the lead characters. The original cast members returned to their roles in the just-released horror-comedy. Aparshakti joined the series as Vicky’s friend, Bittu. Additionally, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi were part of the ensemble.

Future plans involve the creators releasing Stree 3 at some point. In the meantime, it seems that Akshay Kumar will have a standalone film within the Maddock Supernatural Universe. Coincidentally, both Stree 2 and Akshay’s Khel Khel Mein as well as John Abraham’s Vedaa were released on August 15 this year.

In terms of his upcoming film projects, Akshay Kumar is currently working on titles such as “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Skyforce”, “Jolly LLB 3”, “Housefull 5”, and “Hera Pheri 3”.
