Stree 2: Meet 7.7 feet tall actor who plays Sarkata in Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer and is known as ‘The Great Khali of Jammu’

As a die-hard fan of the world of cinema and wrestling, I must say that Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank has left me utterly spellbound! The introduction of Sunil Kumar, popularly known as ‘The Great Angaar’ and towering at an impressive 7.7 feet tall, as the menacing headless villain Sarkata, is nothing short of a masterstroke.

Movie 2: The Terror of Sarkata is creating quite a stir in movie theaters at the moment. In the horror-comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik, a villain named Sarkata, who has no head, is causing chaos in the town of Chanderi. For those unaware, this menacing character is portrayed by a man standing 7.7 feet tall, who is well-known as the Great Khali from Jammu. Originally named Sunil Kumar, this towering figure made his mark as a skilled wrestler and currently serves as a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Exploring more about him, it turned out he goes by the name ‘The Great Angaar’ too. In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik revealed that they discovered him and ultimately cast him due to his impressive height and build. The filmmaker added that for the movie, Sunil Kumar’s body was used in scenes, while Sarkata’s face was digitally created. In the end credits of the film, Kumar is acknowledged as Sarkata.

Besides acting in films, Sunil Kumar devotes his time to caring for the residents of Jammu and Kashmir as a police officer. He also loves playing handball and volleyball and participated in the WWE Tryout in 2019. Born on December 16, 1990, this wrestler aspires to represent India at the WWE championship. Although many are familiar with the name of retired professional wrestler The Great Khali (Dalip Singh Rana), it’s interesting to know that Sunil stands five inches taller than his former fame.

By examining his Instagram account, we stumbled upon a photo of him together with Rajkummar Rao, famously known for portraying Vicky in Stree 2. Additionally, there was a snapshot of Kumar alongside Tamannaah Bhatia on the set, who will be seen making a special appearance as Shama in the series. For those not familiar, the follow-up to the 2018 film Stree features an ensemble cast including Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. Varun Dhawan will appear as Bhediya in a cameo role, while Akshay Kumar is set to make a special appearance as the descendant of Sarkata.

Movie 2 hit theaters on August 15, and it’s been raking in profits at the ticket counter. The producers have even thrown a celebration to mark its success.
