As a dedicated follower of Bollywood and horror films, I must admit that Shraddha Kapoor has managed to surprise me yet again with her role in Stree 2. Despite her admitted fear of horror movies, she delivers a compelling performance that keeps the audience on edge. Her ability to portray fear convincingly, even when she’s scared in real life, is commendable.
The film “Stree 2,” starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is seeing fantastic earnings at the box office right now. This horror-comedy has been successful in making people laugh while also giving them a good scare through skilfully designed scenes. Interestingly, during discussions about the movie, it was revealed that Shraddha Kapoor herself doesn’t watch horror films. Surprisingly, she even admitted to being frightened by her own character in the Amar Kaushik film!
In an interview with The Lallantop, Shraddha Kapoor was questioned about her preferred horror movie. She admitted that she doesn’t usually watch horror films, but enjoys comedy-horror flicks like Stree 2. Furthermore, if she encounters a truly compelling script in the future, she expressed her desire to participate in such a film.
In the same interview, the actress of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar admitted that in her latest film, when something occurs to her character’s face, she becomes extremely frightened. She showed us how she would hide her ear and part of her face while watching herself on the big screen. “I easily get scared from horror movies,” she admitted. Additionally, she disclosed that the 2018 American horror film Hereditary is a particularly terrifying movie for her.
Discussing the successful movie currently showing in cinemas, Kapoor additionally spoke of learning about chilling true-life events. She revealed that although she hasn’t personally encountered any supernatural occurrences, she has been told numerous scary tales. Recalling an incident from her childhood, Shraddha Kapoor disclosed that she and some neighbors in the housing complex made up a tale claiming there was a ghost residing in a house on the property.
Despite constructing a story about their experience prior to entering the house, upon going inside, they noticed things were fragmented. Furthermore, an abundance of charming miniature dolls were discovered scattered around. At this point, they became alarmed, suspecting that perhaps there were genuine spirits residing within the dwelling.
Under Amar Kaushik’s direction, this film features prominent performances from Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The script was penned by Niren Bhatt, making it the follow-up to the 2018 film titled Stree.
