In a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama, she shared insights about her work on the film, and even hinted at the prospect of potentially engaging in a fight scene with Akshay Kumar in Stree 3.
The actress expressed some uncertainty about the situation but remains optimistic regarding the third installment, hinting at the film’s impressive reception and the dynamic universe it has established. In her own words, she said, “I am confident that Stree 3 will materialize, considering its extraordinary success and the Marvel-like universe they have built. To be honest, I’m a bit anxious since Akshay Kumar is a martial arts master (laughs).”
Moreover, the actress disclosed an interesting detail about her role in the movie – she hadn’t been provided the entire screenplay. She explained that they wanted to keep secret the fact that she portrays “Stree,” as everyone assumed Shraddha was Stree. To avoid any spoilers, she said, “It wouldn’t have been ideal for the truth about her not being Stree to come out.” Furthermore, she shared that she only got to read the script on the assistant director’s phone during the final shoot scene.
Additionally, Bhumi recounted an amusing behind-the-scenes tale about a rule the production team enforced. She explained that whenever an actor arrived on set, a song associated with their character would be played. As she portrayed a ghost, songs like “Gumnaam Hai Koi” were chosen. The actor was expected to dance, and others would follow suit. Bhumi mentioned that this was the first time she had witnessed such an occurrence on set, creating a lively atmosphere.
Earlier this month, on August 14, Amar Kaushik’s highly anticipated film Stree 2 hit the screens. The movie stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurrana in prominent roles.
