As a long-time admirer of the gaming world, I’m thrilled to share that the iconic Fatal Fury character, Mai Shiranui, has been gracing our screens since 1992. And now, in an exciting twist, she’s made her grand entrance in Street Fighter VI as a downloadable content (DLC) character!
A recurring characteristic of Mai throughout the years has been her large bust, however, modder Lilotty reconsidered the character design and mused, “She doesn’t require such an excessive amount.
Flat Mai in Street Fighter VI
A new modification titled ‘Flat Mai’ on NexusMods has emerged, and as anticipated by fans, it alters Mai’s bust to a less voluminous size, making combat more realistic and comfortable for her in-game.
In the course of her career as a fighting game character, Mai has consistently been depicted as having ample bust size, and it’s worth noting that her kunoichi outfit does not conceal the fact that she doesn’t wear a bra. Since her introduction in 1992, players have been exposed to her more voluptuous movements while she defeats opponents with her ninja abilities.
Since the release of Mai in Street Fighter VI, a lot of buzz and adoration for her has emerged online, with numerous articles, videos, and images surfacing across the web.
Fan Outrage (?)
Of course, the ‘Flat Mai’ modification spread throughout the digital realm, and members have been expressing their concerns about preventing Lilotty from ever attempting to cook again. Here’s a related post you might find interesting:
In the comment section, there’s been a mix of jest and debate, with some suggesting that the mod could potentially get banned. However, the conversation has taken an interesting turn, as some have begun arguing about the appeal of flat-chested characters, often using the phrase “Flat is Justice.” As a gamer, I find this discussion intriguing and respect everyone’s opinions on character design.
The discussion on this thread often includes numerous fan drawings praising Mai’s large figure, as well as comments that may seem like the moderator is being targeted unjustly. However, it’s important to note that using this mod is entirely optional, and it serves a practical purpose by reducing potential distractions caused by Mai during battles, which could be an intentional aspect of her character design.
Who Else is Coming to the Game?

In the gaming world, I’m excited to share that I’ll be the third-to-last DLC character dropping in the second year of Street Fighter VI! The next fighter joining us is none other than the original Street Fighter character, also known as me – Elena!
First appearing in “Street Fighter III: A New Generation”, Elena is a character designed as both a Capoeira practitioner and a member of African nobility. Distinctively, she stands out with her rich dark skin, contrasted by her white hair that has been bleached, and her remarkable height lends her exceptional reach in combat.
From the trailer’s glimpse, Elena appears to be dressed in a more traditional outfit; however, given that Mai was previously portrayed in a provocative manner upon release, there’s a chance that Elena might don her iconic white bikini and adornments of beaded jewelry as well.
If necessary, players can simply rely on mods for support and incorporate those modifications into the game themselves. Notably, Capcom appears to endorse this practice, unlike certain other companies who strictly prohibit mods and penalize users who employ them.
The iconic character, Mai Shiranui, has been confirmed as a playable option in the upcoming game, Street Fighter VI. This title will be compatible with Xbox Series X|S, PC platforms, and both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
