Sui joins an exclusive list of AWS-integrated blockchains

The Sui Foundation, which champions the growth and usage of its eponymous layer 1 blockchain, has unveiled the integration of Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) Blockchain Node Runners onto Sui. This innovation offers developers a hassle-free node deployment experience.

With this integration, developers using Sui can effortlessly establish and operate Sui full nodes within AWS, taking advantage of AWS’s powerful cloud infrastructure for superior availability, flexibility, and trustworthiness. AWS Blockchain Node Runners streamline the process of managing blockchain nodes, enabling users to easily deploy, expand, control, and monitor secure blockchain nodes. Currently, Navi, a prominent liquidity platform, has been announced as the initial user to set up full nodes on Sui through AWS Blockchain Node Runners.

Kathryn Van Nuys, the Global Head of Startups in Specialized Segments at Amazon Web Services (AWS), expressed, “The AWS Blockchain Node Runners were developed to cater to builders at various stages of their application development. It provides templates tailored to distinct needs, ranging from advanced security and compliance to seamless deployment and monitoring. We’re thrilled to introduce these features, among others, to help developers effortlessly set up and manage Sui nodes on the AWS cloud.”

Node Runners offers various technological benefits for setting up blockchain nodes. It provides verified templates for deploying scalable node operations in multiple regions, ensuring high availability through multiple node options in distinct availability zones. The deployment code is openly available on GitHub, enabling users to examine it prior to implementation. Integration with the AWS Well-Architected Framework helps organizations construct secure, efficient, resilient, and high-performing node structures. Full nodes on Sui handle on-chain tasks such as transaction validation, checkpointing, and epoch alterations while maintaining stake and history for improved client query services. By shifting query processing from validator nodes to dedicated servicing nodes, validators can concentrate solely on transaction processing and updates once new transactions are finished.

Navi, a prominent player in Sui’s liquidity scene, has initiated interaction with Node Runners on the Sui platform and successfully launched their initial node using Amazon Web Services (AWS) as of now.

Through their collaboration with AWS and Sui Foundation, builders, developers, and startups utilizing AWS Blockchain Node Runners or developing projects on Sui stand a chance to receive up to $5,000 in Activate credits as part of an initiative aimed at empowering them. Additionally, the Sui Foundation has become a member of AWS Web3 Provider program, granting Sui developers access to valuable tools, resources, content, and credits.

As the Global Head of Community at Sui Foundation, I’m thrilled to announce a significant leap forward in our blockchain infrastructure: the integration of AWS Node Runners on Sui. Our nodes are the backbone of Sui’s operation and accessibility, and this partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) brings essential advancements.
