‘Suits LA’ Canceled Ahead of Season One Finale

Suits LA is ending its run.

NBC has decided not to continue the spin-off show from the cherished USA Network comedy-drama. The initial season will end with its final episode on May 18, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The 13-episode NBC show features Gabriel Macht reprising his role as Harvey Specter, David Costabile returning as Daniel Hardman, and future episodes will welcome back Rick Hoffman as Louis Litt.

Although Suits was initially based in a different setting, it debuted with a fresh group of lawyers, headed by Stephen Amell as the entertainment lawyer Ted. Following its success on Netflix in 2023, creator Aaron Korsh chose to extend the Suits universe by launching the franchise’s second spin-off. This new series unfolds on the West Coast, continuing the saga of the Suits world.

The TV series “Suits” initially aired on USA Network from 2011 to 2019, where it was successful for the network. However, its popularity skyrocketed when it moved to Netflix under a syndication agreement. By summer 2023, and indeed throughout the entire year, “Suits” had become the uncontested hit show.

Suits LA did not share much in the resurgence of its source series.

On a Friday, NBC announced the termination of both “Lopez vs. Lopez” and “Night Court”, shows that had been on air for three seasons each.
