As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but feel the anticipation swelling within me for the mighty Switch 2, a device that promises to deliver a stellar gaming experience. While it’s true that its power is roughly comparable to a PS4, what truly matters to gamers like myself is the quality and variety of games it offers.
Given Nintendo’s lessons from their past missteps during the Wii U era, I have every confidence that the launch lineup for this new system will be nothing short of impressive. The games are, after all, the heart of any gaming console, and as a fan, I can hardly wait to see what Nintendo has in store for us!
Instead, let’s discuss which games we anticipate will shine during the console’s debut. Being avid fans of the original Nintendo Switch, we made our predictions about potential releases for this new platform.

During the Switch era, Square Enix has been a valuable partner to Nintendo. Therefore, it would be delightful if their advanced games graced the screens of Switch 2. Titles such as Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth come to mind, but it’s also exciting to imagine lesser-known gems like Valkyrie Elysium and Star Ocean: The Divine Force making their debut on this upcoming console.
Speculation about the new Joy-Con’s potential mouse-like features suggests a more convenient gaming experience for certain genres. For instance, role-playing games such as Baldur’s Gate 3 and strategy games like Civilization 7 might be more enjoyable due to improved control. Additionally, this news excites me, being a fan of the 3DS, as it raises hope that Kid Icarus: Uprising could receive a port here, perhaps even leading to a sequel.

On the debut day of Switch 2, I’m eagerly anticipating a substantial update for Pokemon Violet, but it might have underlying problems beyond what a patch can address. A brand-new Mario Kart title would be fantastic, as Mario Kart 8 has been a blast all these years, but a fresh take on the gameplay would be welcome. Apart from that, I can’t wait for Metroid Prime 4 to finally see the light of day and a new 3D Mario adventure to materialize.

Looking at the trailer for the Switch 2, I couldn’t help but ponder if it’s already equipped to handle demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 with its expansion Phantom Liberty, Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, and Monster Hunter Wilds. I can hardly wait to see these anticipated titles run smoothly on the Nintendo console!
To learn more about the Switch 2, explore all the details we’ve gathered about this console, including the potential for it to support dual-screen gaming experience.
