Or, more casually:

The halftime show will star SZA and Kendrick Lamar, who are currently ruling the music charts. Some of their hit collaborations are “Luther” from GNX and “30 for 30” from SOS Deluxe: Lana. Previous hits include the Oscar-nominated tunes “All the Stars” and “Doves In the Wind.

Previously, Lamar took the stage at the 2022 halftime show for hip-hop, where Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent also performed. This incredible event earned them an Emmy for outstanding live variety special. For his upcoming performance, creative direction will be provided by pgLang, the creative company founded by Lamar and his longtime collaborator Dave Free, who has directed or co-directed most of Lamar’s music videos.

For the sixth time, Jay-Z and his company Roc Nation will be back to organize the halftime show. The renowned rapper and businessman won his second Emmy Award for co-directing Rihanna’s 2023 halftime show performance with Hamish Hamilton, making him one of the few Black directors to win in the outstanding directing for a variety special category. Last year’s halftime show, which starred Usher, was nominated for three Emmys and set the record as the most-watched halftime performance ever.

Alongside KeKe Palmer, SZA shares the spotlight in the buddy comedy “One of Them Days,” produced by Issa Rae, which recently made its debut as the top-grossing film of the week.
