TAG Heuer Presents a Sporty and Glam Lineup at LVMH Watch Week

Kicking off its sixth round in 2025, LVMH Watch Week has adjusted to current events due to the unfortunate wildfires in Los Angeles. Splitting into two distinct editions, one occurring in New York this week and the other in Paris the following week. Despite these hurdles, the event is set to be a spectacular display of watchmaking prowess. With TAG Heuer taking on the role as the official timekeeper for Formula 1, the Swiss brand infuses its energetic spirit into the new year, unveiling an exciting collection of lively and inventive timepieces.

Formula 1 Chronograph

Gearing up for Formula One, the brand unveils four new Chronograph watches dedicated to the thrilling world of racing. These timepieces embody speed, accuracy, and cutting-edge technology. Each reference comes equipped with a 44mm case and a black opaline dial, accompanied by an aluminum black DLC tachymeter bezel that is firmly fixed in place.

Two of the designs carry blue and yellow highlights, whereas the other two showcase striking red elements. All designs are made from grade 2 titanium material. Interestingly, only one of the red models is built without any additional color, while the rest are coated in black DLC for a sleek, concealed appearance. Each shade is reflected on the watch face as well, where they appear as lacquered running tracks and a matching central seconds hand.

The prices for the newly introduced Formula 1 Chronographs vary between $4,700 and $4,900 USD. These watches operate using TAG Heuer’s own Calibre 16 mechanism, offering a steady run of 42 hours. Each timepiece features a titanium screw-down caseback adorned with unique engravings, along with rubber straps for a comfortable fit.

Formula 1 Chronograph x Oracle Red Bull Racing

Besides the previously mentioned models, TAG Heuer also prepared a unique Formula 1 Chronograph model in partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing. This latest reference extends their longstanding collaboration, offering a modern, revitalized design to their line of watches inspired by motorsports.

Just like the new F1 chronographs, this special edition features a bolder watch face design. The blue opaline dial sports a checkered pattern, with red and yellow details on the hands, track, case, and crown. It measures 44mm in diameter, and instead of the traditional titanium tachymeter bezel, it boasts a sleek carbon-forged one for a contemporary and athletic look.

To represent the collaboration between the watch and Oracle Red Bull Racing, the caseback features both their team logo and TAG Heuer’s emblematic text. This is complemented by a blue rubber strap with red accents that reflects the overall color scheme of the timepiece. Set to be released in February, this watch will retail for $5,450 USD.

Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye

This timepiece takes inspiration from the Heuer Master Time/Monte Carlo stopwatches of 1965, marking another step in TAG Heuer’s five-year partnership with Porsche. The limited edition watch is available in both steel and 18k 3N yellow gold versions, featuring a glossy black dial with three tonal subdials that echo the design of vintage Heuer dashboard timers. The watch hands, marked with beige Super-LumiNova, are reminiscent of the original car’s leather steering wheel.

On the exposed caseback side, the automotive tribute persists, featuring a Porsche-styled rotor resembling a steering wheel, securely attached to our in-house TH20-08 Chronosprint movement. This mechanism provides an impressive 80 hours of uninterrupted operation and beats at a rate of 28,800 times per hour.

Every version has no more than 11 instances, and here’s the pricing: The steel edition is $10,250 USD, whereas the yellow gold one goes for $24,600 USD. Both versions come equipped with rally-style leather straps, and the steel model also gets a matching metal band. These watches arrive in red lacquer boxes, which include an extra strap along with a miniature Porsche 911 “147” model as well.

Carrera Chronograph & Chronograph Tourbillon – Purple Editions

Last year at LVMH Watch Week, I was captivated by TAG Heuer’s unveiling of two Carrera Chronographs boasting enchanting teal green dials with circular-brushed finishes. This time around for this year’s event, the Maison has discovered a fresh take on the Carrera Chronograph and Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, and they’re now presented in a more somber, purple fumé hue.

This specific shade reminiscent of eggplant is not just for aesthetics; it’s a nod to the success of the purple Monaco Chronograph launched in 2022. Both versions come with perforated black calfskin leather straps, and the black azuré subdials complement the deep, rich color scheme, providing an added layer of visual complexity to the watch face.

The Carrera Chronograph comes in a stylish 39mm stainless steel case, featuring both polished and brushed surfaces. It retails for $6,650 USD and operates on the TH20-00 caliber. On the other hand, the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon will be produced in limited quantities of only 200 units and is priced at a higher end of $34,850 USD.

Carrera Chronograph – Diamond-Set Versions

Refining elegance and adding a touch of glamour, TAG Heuer has extended its Carrera Chronograph collection with two new diamond-encrusted models. These models come in captivating shades of blue and powdery pink, with the entire edge (rehaut) adorned with 72 diamonds for a stunning sparkle. The bi-complex dial is further enhanced with 11 chaton diamond indices, harmoniously complementing the diamond-studded rehaut. Crafted in stainless steel and boasting a 39mm case size, they are partnered with pearlescent leather straps that mirror their respective dial colors.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got my eyes on a pair of stunning diamond-set Carrera chronographs that cost between $8,600 – $8,700 USD. These beauties are powered by the TH20-00 movement, an in-house marvel you can catch a glimpse of through their transparent casebacks.

Carrera Date

The new versions of the Carrera Date now come in gentle pastel shades and a sleek 36mm watch case. Available in lilac and soft pink, the dials boast an enticing sunray and snail-brushed finish, complete with a gradient track that honors the brand’s racing legacy. To enhance their subtle elegance, 11 diamonds are seamlessly incorporated into the dial as hour markers.

These watches, characterized by simplicity and elegance, operate on the self-winding Caliber 7 movement. This mechanism provides essential hour, minute, second, and date functions, along with a generous 56-hour power reserve. Debuting in June, there are two new Carrera Date models featuring soft pastel dials. Each of these watches retails for $4,350 USD.
